I find my motives in my Nordic living environment. This is defined by wide landscapes, long coasts, endless beaches and sometimes lovely and sometimes impetuous seas. Above it floats the high sky of the north with its light and dynamics. This leads me to my landscape paintings, seascapes and abstract painting.
The vastness of the Nordic landscapes makes things seem small and distant. It is the play between small and large, near and far, significant or insignificant, what landscape paintings can describe.
Abstract paintings seek to place the elements in an unregulated order to create emotion. They are successful when viewers are satisfied.
The seas surrounding Northern Germany and Denmark could not be more different. These marine landscapes are constantly changing and therefor new. Maritime paintings with their watercolor, acrylic or oil colors take on this dynamic.
For me, graphic design means concentrating on the essentials.
